Programs

Maryland Wellness is a leading Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) that uses a person-centered approach to help clients successfully achieve their social, emotional and behavioral health needs. We provide reduced or no out-of-pocket-cost Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)/case management services, therapy, medication management/psychiatry and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment/addictions counseling. We also provide support to under-served individuals and priority populations, including those on Medicaid who are battling complex mental health conditions.

How we help

Working together with our clients, we develop treatment plans to help deal with a variety of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders and more. Our team is kind and affirming toward all clients in order to build a therapeutic and trusting relationship, particularly in moments of crisis to help alleviate negative feelings.

We develop individualized and unique treatment plans depending on our clients’ needs, affirming their courage in seeking mental health support. Our team of doctors, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers and counselors are able to see our clients across the state, including via telehealth or in a community setting that is most comfortable for the client. We support children (ages 4 and up), adolescents and adults.

We are always looking for new ways to meet our clients’ needs, including via mobile medication delivery and transportation services for individuals who require help getting to our offices.

Mental health is physical health

As the Greek philosopher Thales said thousands of years ago, “A sound mind in a sound body.” The brain is a part of the body and is susceptible to illness or injury like any other organ. Most importantly, it can be treated with great success. Mental illnesses can be managed by lifestyle changes and medications very similar to how physicians care for hypertension, and metabolic and inflammatory illness.

In order to best serve our clients, we create collaborative teams that could include the client, case manager (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program counselor), therapist, medication prescriber, addictions counselor (as needed), referring partner, primary care physician/pediatrician, dentist, etc. Mental health cannot be separated from physical health, and both must be working in sync.

PRP/Case Management

We provide Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program/case management services for adults and children with mental health conditions to help them achieve their life goals. Our rehabilitation counselors are trained to connect clients with the resources that best fit their needs. Rehabilitation Counselors have the ability to assist with employment, academics, housing, health education and wellness management, legal support, financial and budgeting assistance, therapy compliance, transportation and more. Our Rehabilitation Counselors can also meet clients in their home or in the community for their convenience.
