Therapy

Maryland Wellness’ therapists, counselors and social workers are dedicated to providing holistic mental health treatment for adults, adolescents and children throughout the state, including via telehealth. Our providers are experienced in working with clients dealing with varying mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, behavioral disorders, ADHD and more. They use a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic therapy.

Our therapists compassionately help clients become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so they can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in more effective ways. Their goals are to:

  • Manage symptoms of mental illness
  • Prevent a relapse of mental illness symptoms
  • Teach techniques for coping with stressful life situations
  • Identify ways to manage emotions
  • Resolve relationship conflicts
  • Cope with grief or loss
  • Deal with trauma
  • Cope with a medical illness

Our therapists, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) counselors/case managers and medication prescribers/psychiatrists collaborate to comprehensively support clients.
