Expanding Our Continuum of Care
This launch marks an important extension of the behavioral health care Maryland Wellness already provides in communities across the state.
Mental health and substance use needs often overlap. By adding SUD treatment to our continuum of care, we can better address those needs together rather than in isolation helping individuals access care that considers their mental health, substance use and overall well-being.
Our approach also recognizes that recovery does not follow one path. Maryland Wellness works with each individual to understand their needs and self-defined recovery goals, determine the appropriate level of care and help address barriers that can make it more difficult to engage in treatment and sustain recovery.
Building on Community Partnerships
Providing effective care extends beyond what happens within our offices. Maryland Wellness has established relationships with healthcare providers, social service agencies and community organizations across Maryland, and those partnerships are an important part of connecting individuals with the resources and support they need.
With SUD services now available at our West Road location, we welcome referrals and continued collaboration with partners across the Eastern Shore as we work together to strengthen access to substance use disorder treatment and recovery services in the community.
