FAQs

What does Maryland Wellness do?

Maryland Wellness helps at-risk and underserved individuals achieve their full potential by providing individualized mental health care and life skills support to strengthen clients, families and communities. We do this through a combination of therapy, medication manager and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services/case management. We presently serve clients throughout Maryland, including via telehealth and in and around offices in Baltimore, Waldorf, Cumberland, Lanham, Oakland and the Hagerstown/Frederick areas.

What are Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services/case management?

PRP services provide individuals with mental health diagnoses and other conditions with a dedicated case manager who helps the individual tackle their life goals which can become overwhelming. This lets the person stay focused on their mental health journey, while also getting support with barriers that might pop up in their lives. PRP complements the work of a primary mental healthcare professional to further their therapeutic plan.

What skills does Maryland Wellness assist its clients with?

We strive to help clients develop the life skills they need to succeed with their therapeutic plan. The skills we focus on vary with each client, and may include financial management, budgeting, jobs, secure housing, interview skills, access to hygiene and clothing, nutrition and fitness, medication education, computer skills, coping mechanisms, socialization and more. Our goal is always to serve the best interests of the client. Our services are available both on-site and off-site, including in the client’s home.

How do I pay for PRP?

For many PRP clients, the services we provide are free and covered by Medicaid.

Success Story

“I do nothing but give praise to this establishment. My first time there, I was very nervous, but that quickly changed once I was greeted by the amazing staff in the front office. I can never leave that place with a frown on my face. I would recommend this facility to anybody in need of mental and drug counseling. They are the best I have ever experienced, and that is no lie.”
