Maryland Wellness’ passionate team is made up of clinicians, counselors, advocates, specialists and other professionals who bring their varied set of lived and learned experiences to support our clients and their families, as well as our partners, each and every day. One of our core values is collaboration among our team and with our clients’ families, referring partners and their other physicians in order to create the best possible outcomes for our clients. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)

Mary Ellen Croft, LMSW (she/her)

Senior Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist

With more than 10 years of clinical mental health experience, Mary Ellen has been a part of the Maryland Wellness family for five years, primarily serving Garrett, Allegany, Washington, and Frederick Counties. She provides support to the team’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program counselors and guides them to best help the agency’s Western Maryland clients.

Mary Ellen previously worked with children and adolescents in out-of-home placements, ensuring care for those who were unable to live with their families. She enjoys working within the team environment to help Maryland Wellness’ clients succeed and spends as much of her free time as possible enjoying nature with her family.

Jeffrey Bazzett (he/him)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist

Joining Maryland Wellness in 2019, Jeffrey has more than 20 years of experience providing mental health counseling and case management to help positively impact the lives of others. In his role, he works with the agency’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program counselors to facilitate access to care and address barriers to mental health success.

Previously, Jeffrey worked as Program Director of the Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for an agency in Harford County. He has a wide depth of experience, including conducting/providing mental health assessments, case management, psychological education, crisis intervention, advocacy and work as a community liaison. He served as a Psychiatric Technician in the United States Army, where he conducted assessments and led courses related to self esteem, assertiveness and symptom management.

Ralph Watkins, CPRP, CFRP (he/him)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist

Ralph Watkins joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 and brings more than 30 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults in achieving their recovery goals. As a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist, he works closely with clients to help them build daily living skills, strengthen independence, and create meaningful change in their lives. Ralph believes that psychiatric rehabilitation has the power to help clients recognize positive growth every day. He is known for meeting people where they are—literally and emotionally—and for his steady, collaborative approach. Drawing on his expertise in crisis intervention and community mediation, Ralph ensures that services are person-centered, consistent, and focused on best practices that promote lasting progress. Outside of work, Ralph enjoys playing the drums.

Shyetta McQueen (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist, Baltimore MD

Joining Maryland Wellness in 2024, Shyetta has 20 years of experience in the mental health field, with Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Case Management being her passions.

As she became skilled in these areas, she transitioned to the role of Program Director in the field of psych rehabilitation in 2004 and is currently functioning as a Rehabilitation Specialist at Maryland Wellness for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, which offers support to counselors who are servicing clients.

Shyetta has comprehensive experience with working with individuals with severe mental health issues including building rapport, advocating, community linkage, and teaching life skills. She especially enjoys witnessing positive outcomes of clients who have struggled with mental illness most of their lives.

Akyra James, BS (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Akyra brings over eight years of experience to her role as a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness. She began her career in direct support roles, working with individuals experiencing mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use challenges, and later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

She believes the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) plays a vital role in bridging gaps between resources and services, helping individuals and families strengthen daily living skills and achieve meaningful goals.

Inspired by growing up alongside a cousin with autism and a grandmother who used a wheelchair, Akyra developed a deep passion for supporting others. She feels grateful to do work she loves as part of the Maryland Wellness team.

Andre Carter (he/him)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Andre serves as a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness, helping clients restructure, rebuild, and readjust to healthy, productive lives. He brings experience as a life coach and has partnered with organizations such as Thrive Academy/DJS, the Roca Program, and YAP Program, along with completing a 500-hour RADAP program. Throughout his career, Andre has been committed to reshaping lives and supporting communities impacted by trauma, addiction, and systemic challenges.

Andre’s passion for this work comes from personal experience growing up in an inner-city environment, witnessing firsthand the impact of addiction and untreated mental health challenges on families and communities. He finds joy in helping clients rebuild their lives and develop sustainable skills for success.

He values listening, building trust, and meeting clients where they are, supporting children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and substance use challenges.

Outside of work, Andre enjoys working out and playing basketball.

Andre Henry (he/him)

Community Support Coordinator

Andre Henry joined Maryland Wellness in April 2025 and brings over 20 years of experience helping people build healthier, more stable lives. He works with clients ages 5 to 65 who are managing challenges like trauma, anxiety, and depression. Andre focuses on trust, connection, and practical skills that support personal growth and recovery. He’s especially dedicated to helping individuals reenter their communities after incarceration, homelessness, or treatment, guiding them toward resources and lasting stability. Known for his compassion and steady encouragement, Andre finds purpose in seeing his clients regain hope and confidence. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, people-watching, and staying active with boxing.

AnDrea Patterson (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

AnDrea Patterson joined Maryland Wellness in 2017 and serves as a Rehabilitation Counselor within the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. She brings a steady, supportive presence to her work with adults, drawing on prior experience in special education and case management to help clients strengthen daily living skills, rebuild routines, and work toward greater independence.

She approaches rehabilitation with the understanding that recovery is individualized and non-linear, and believes meaningful progress is often made through consistent, manageable steps. She is recognized for her calm demeanor, thoughtful listening, and ability to help clients feel supported, capable, and actively engaged in their goals.

Outside of her professional role, she enjoys traveling, interior decorating, and spending time with her family.

Callum Callahan (he/him)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Calum is passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate obstacles and work toward greater stability and well-being. At Maryland Wellness, Calum supports individuals in accessing essential resources such as housing, transportation, employment services, and basic needs, often accompanying clients to community agencies and assisting with applications and service requirements.

In addition to resource coordination, Calum works collaboratively with clients to build life skills, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, executive functioning, financial literacy, and interpersonal skills. Using a person-centered, strength-based approach, Calum believes every individual has unique strengths and that progress happens through partnership and trust.

As a proud member of the LGBTQPIA+ community, Calum also provides gender-affirming care and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where clients feel supported and empowered.

Franklin Thomas, MHA (he/him)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Franklin joined Maryland Wellness in February 2026 and serves within the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), supporting teens and adults experiencing trauma and anxiety. He holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.

Franklin has always been drawn to listening and supporting others and decided to turn that natural strength into a meaningful career. He is motivated by helping individuals succeed and move forward with confidence and purpose.

Guided by his Christian faith, Franklin believes we are here to love and serve others whenever we can. He approaches his work with compassion, encouragement, and a commitment to meeting clients where they are as they work toward growth and stability.

Outside of work, Franklin is a competitive bodybuilder, bringing the same discipline and dedication to his personal goals as he does to supporting his clients.

Jamin Hicks (he/him)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Jamin Hicks supports adults in achieving their goals by assisting with daily living activities (DLA) and connecting them to vital community resources, including housing, transportation, and food assistance. Originally working in construction, Jamin transitioned into the mental health field after a close friend experienced a mental health crisis. That experience inspired his commitment to understanding and supporting individuals facing similar challenges. Jamin’s approach emphasizes honesty, self-awareness, and authenticity. He encourages clients to be open with themselves about their needs and goals, allowing him to guide them toward practical, well-informed decisions. As a natural people person, he views helping others as more than a job—it’s a purpose.

Jena Lamp (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Jena has been a Rehabilitation Counselor with MD Wellness for seven years, where she supports individuals in working toward recovery and achieving personal life goals. She is known for her compassionate, client-centered approach and her ability to build strong, trusting relationships with the individuals and families she serves. Jena works closely with clients to develop rehabilitation goals, connect them with community resources, and support their progress through advocacy, coaching, and care coordination. She is also experienced in assisting clients with navigating systems such as SSI/SSDI disability benefits.

Prior to joining MD Wellness, Jena worked for two years at Archway in a residential program while attending college. She earned her Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Allegany College and continued her studies at Potomac State toward a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Joyce Zhang (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Joyce Zhang is a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness who brings a warm, collaborative approach to her work with young adult women and individuals managing depression and bipolar disorder. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and experience as a PRP Worker, Joyce is dedicated to helping clients strengthen their confidence, build coping skills, and find stability in their daily lives. Joyce believes that healing is a partnership—she and her clients work together toward meaningful growth and change. She is known for her compassion, empathy, and commitment to supporting people through difficult times, especially those who may not have strong natural supports. Inspired by Maryland Wellness’s mission, Joyce takes pride in helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to reclaim their sense of well-being. Outside of work, Joyce enjoys crocheting and spending time in nature, especially on peaceful walks near the water.

Kenni Rudd (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Kenni joined Maryland Wellness in 2020 and brings a compassionate, strengths-based approach to her work with adults managing mental health diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychiatric conditions. With seven years of experience and QRP Gatekeeper Certification, she helps clients navigate housing instability, employment challenges, and other barriers while supporting long-term stability and independence. She believes in meeting clients where they are and empowering them to build on their strengths. Known for her dedication, advocacy, and ability to celebrate clients’ milestones, Kenni provides one-on-one support in areas such as financial management, employment readiness, life skills development, and community resource connection. Her approach is person-centered, solution-focused, and grounded in promoting self-efficacy and meaningful progress. Outside of work, Kenni enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, creating content around social work and wellness, spending time with her family and pets, and staying active in the gym.

Kenuway Jones (she/her)

Kenuway Jones brings a compassionate and dedicated presence to their role as a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness, where they support children and adults in reaching their personal and treatment goals. With a background in community-based support and training in CPR and first aid, Kenuway is committed to helping clients strengthen daily living skills, foster independence, and build confidence in their progress. They believe that through collaboration, wraparound support, and teamwork, real and lasting change is possible. Kenuway is known for their strong will, integrity, and direct yet caring approach, helping clients stay motivated and focused while feeling respected and supported throughout their journey. Outside of work, Kenuway enjoys playing pool and connecting with others through friendly competition and shared experiences.

Macie Phillips, CSC-AD, (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Macie Phillips, CSC-AD, joined Maryland Wellness in June 2024 as a Rehabilitation Counselor. She works primarily with adults and some minors, supporting individuals in achieving personal, career, and independent living goals. With a strong background in human services and addictions counseling, Macie empowers clients to overcome life barriers and lead fulfilling, meaningful lives. Macie believes in meeting every client with respect, empathy, and an open mind. Her approach is rooted in empowerment, cultural competence, and nonjudgmental care, helping people feel seen and supported throughout their recovery journey. Drawing from both professional training and personal understanding, she is known for her compassion, resilience, and genuine commitment to helping others achieve their goals. Outside of her work, Macie enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring new learning opportunities, and finding balance through activities that nurture her own growth and well-being.

Miranda Foy (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Miranda Foy brings over 20 years of experience in business administration and management, with a strong background in leadership, client relations, and operational oversight. Her career in the real estate and property management industry laid the foundation for her structured, service-driven approach to supporting individuals in achieving measurable goals. She has also been actively involved in community advocacy, supporting organizations such as House of Ruth, March of Dimes, and the National Fibromyalgia Association. Miranda primarily works with adults and older adults who have experienced trauma, including survivors of intimate partner violence, as well as individuals managing anxiety, depression, and chronic stress. Her approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and grounded in empathy and empowerment. She is DLA-20 Certified, First Aid and CPR Certified, trained in trauma-informed care, fluent in English, and conversational in Spanish.

Nina Carter (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Nina Carter is a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness who brings a compassionate and empowering presence to her work with adults and minors facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. With more than 20 years of experience at Sheppard Pratt Health System, Nina has specialized in supporting children and adults with autism and now focuses on helping adults with disabilities achieve meaningful employment and personal growth. Nina believes in a person-centered, strengths-based approach, meeting clients where they are and collaborating as a team to support growth and recovery. She is known for her dedication, empathy, and ability to empower clients to overcome barriers, achieve independence, and celebrate milestones. Her approach combines individualized guidance with encouragement and practical support to help clients succeed in both life and work. Outside of work, Nina enjoys connecting with her community and supporting others in ways that foster meaningful engagement and personal fulfillment.

Rikki Bellamy (she/her)

Rikki brings a thoughtful and person-centered approach to her role as a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness. She is passionate about recognizing individuals for their inherent strengths and qualities, rather than defining them by past experiences or challenges.

Rikki believes personal growth begins with self-awareness. She views supportive services as an opportunity for individuals to better understand how life experiences have shaped their thoughts and behaviors, while building the skills needed to move forward with confidence.

Sarah Walker (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Sarah has been part of the Maryland Wellness team since 2018, serving as a Rehabilitation Counselor in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Frostburg State University and is passionate about helping individuals grow in independence and confidence.

Sarah believes building a strong, positive rapport is essential to meaningful progress. She works closely with clients to access employment, housing, transportation, educational resources, and community benefits, while also developing coping strategies and anger management skills. She values PRP as a vital extension of therapy, providing hands-on support that helps individuals turn goals into achievable steps forward.

Sharon Brubaker (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Sharon joined Maryland Wellness in 2025. She has nearly a decade of experience in PRP services following a successful career in education where she focused on multi-faceted learning styles.

Sharon is passionate about mental health and divergent learning. She values listening, building trust, and working toward successful goals with clients. She understands that success for clients is not ‘one size fits all’ and works to provide individual programs to assist clients to meet their needs.

Outside of work, Sharon is a nationally recognized romance author. She also enjoys creating artisan sea glass jewelry, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends

Steven Phillips (he/him)

With a background in Child Protective Services and training in trauma-informed care, Steven is dedicated to helping clients build confidence, develop coping strategies, and achieve meaningful personal goals on their journey toward recovery. Tammy is passionate about empowering people to build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, being spontaneous, and spending time with her furbabies.

Tenisha Thomas (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Tenisha holds an Associate degree in Addiction Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s in General Psychology.

Tenisha specializes in helping individuals develop coping skills for emotional regulation and anger management. She works closely with clients to strengthen social and communication skills, connect to community resources, and build practical tools that support long-term stability and growth.

Using a supportive, person-centered approach, Tenisha meets clients where they are and walks alongside them as they work toward their goals. She believes everyone needs support at times and that, together, we can reach our highest quality of life and become the best version of ourselves.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Vic Androcy brings enthusiasm, creativity, and compassion to their role as a Rehabilitation Counselor at Maryland Wellness, where they work primarily with teens and young adults. With experience supporting individuals with special needs and helping youth develop independent living skills, Vic is dedicated to empowering clients as they build confidence and work toward their goals. Guided by the belief that everyone is capable of doing hard things, Vic strives to help clients connect the skills they learn in therapy to real-life situations. They’re passionate about connecting people with resources, celebrating progress, and encouraging clients to discover the best versions of themselves. Known for their empathy and unwavering support, Vic meets each person where they are, inspiring motivation and resilience along the way. Vonny Allen (she/her)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

Vonny joined Maryland Wellness in July 2020 and brings a steady, encouraging presence to her work with adults in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. With a background in workforce development, case management, and peer recovery support, she helps clients rebuild daily routines, strengthen social connections, and pursue personal goals with confidence and consistency. She believes in the power of compassion and determination, and is known for helping clients reach their full potential. Vonny combines her expertise in trauma-informed care, life skills development, and recovery coaching with a commitment to creating a supportive, empowering environment where individuals feel seen, understood, and capable of growth. Outside of work, Vonny enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
