Christina Benboudiaf, LCPC (she/her)

OMHC Clinical Supervisor

Christina Benboudiaf joined Maryland Wellness in 2023 and brings more than 10 years of experience in the behavioral health field to her work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, and substance use. She is passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can express themselves authentically and begin building a better quality of life through meaningful connection and self-discovery. Christina believes that healing begins with understanding and that every individual deserves the chance to grow beyond their challenges. She integrates mindfulness with cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and person-centered techniques—tailoring each session to the unique needs of her clients. Christina is known for her compassionate presence and for celebrating each client’s progress as they move toward greater peace and balance. Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her beloved dog—her “HIPPAW-compliant” telehealth companion—and sharing the joy of furry friendship with her clients.

LaTarsha Walker, MA, LCPC (she/her)

OMHC Clinical Supervisor

LaTarsha Walker joined Maryland Wellness in 2020 and brings more than 20 years of experience to her role as Therapy Supervisor. She provides compassionate, strengths-based care to children, teens, and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, relational issues, and serious mental illness. LaTarsha is dedicated to helping clients build confidence and develop the tools they need to grow and thrive. She believes every individual deserves to be treated with respect and empowered to live life to the fullest. Drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Family Therapy, DBT, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques, LaTarsha creates a supportive space where clients can explore new perspectives and uncover possibilities they may not have seen before. Outside of work, LaTarsha cherishes time with her family, enjoys trying new foods, exploring different cultures, and relaxing with a good book.

Marlene Oleksak, EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT (she/her)

 Marlene joined Maryland Wellness in 2021 and brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to her work with both adults and children. With expertise in trauma recovery, she helps individuals heal from past wounds and navigate the challenges of daily life. Marlene’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a deep respect for human dignity and growth. She is dedicated to offering the support she feels would have helped her own healing journey, valuing each client’s story and their unique path to wellness. Known for her warmth and ability to help clients embrace hope, Marlene utilizes trauma-focused CBT and EMDR to guide individuals toward resilience and healing. Outside of work, Marlene enjoys spending time with her seven grandchildren, hiking, scuba diving, and reminiscing about her skydiving adventures.

Monica Campbell, LCSW-C (she/her)

Monica Campbell, LCSW-C, joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, families, and professionals grow and thrive. As a Clinical Supervisor and Consultant, she supports people of all ages—along with interns and clinicians—through guidance that blends compassion, collaboration, and care. Monica believes in meeting people where they are and creating a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. She’s known for her calm presence, genuine listening, and dedication to helping others build confidence and resilience. Outside of work, Monica enjoys planning and taking trips—always looking forward to her next adventure.

Amanda Fox Talwar, LMSW (they/them)

Mental Health Therapist

Amanda joined Maryland Wellness in March 2025, bringing their dedication to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals with ADHD and Autism, and those with trauma histories. They specialize in helping clients navigate difficult emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, especially in the context of systemic oppression. With a background in crisis services and suicide prevention, Amanda is passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces for minoritized and disabled populations. They predominantly use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional regulation skills, while also utilizing a systemic lens to address the challenges of discrimination and life’s obstacles. Known for their ability to help clients connect with themselves and others, Amanda is committed to fostering resilience and healing. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys knitting, spending time with their two cats, Mavis and Franklin, and engaging in activism that advocates for positive social change.

Amani Ahmed, LCSW-C

Amani Ahmed, LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience providing individual and family therapy. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their challenges, build insight, and develop the tools needed to overcome them.

Amani practices with cultural humility and holds a genuine belief in each individual’s ability to grow and transform their life. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients feel seen, heard, and understood while developing practical strategies for change. She values a collaborative relationship with her clients, empowering them to build confidence and discover their inner strength.

In her free time, Amani enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading.

Ashley Smith, LMSW (she/her)

Mental Health Therapist

Ashley Smith brings over 20 years of experience across education, leadership, customer relations, and social work to her role at Maryland Wellness. She works with adolescents through older adults, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD, and is skilled at helping clients navigate complex systems that impact their wellbeing.

Ashley takes a holistic, trauma-informed, and anti-racist approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and parts work. She values transparency, authenticity, respect, and compassion, and believes in partnering with clients as they explore their own unique paths toward healing. She finds the most joy in those “aha” moments when clients begin to better understand themselves and their experiences.

Inspired to enter the field after witnessing the challenges students faced outside the classroom, Ashley was drawn to Maryland Wellness for its strong, human-centered leadership. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, binge-watching TV shows, and occasionally turning everyday conversations into song.

Brandi Mundie, LCPC (she/her)

Brandi Mundie joined Maryland Wellness in March 2025 and brings a calm, steady presence to her work with teens and adults navigating obsessive-compulsive disorders, insomnia, perinatal challenges, and trauma. With formal training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), she offers evidence-based support tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Brandi believes that therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to take small, meaningful steps toward healing. She’s known for her compassionate, collaborative style and her ability to celebrate progress—especially those quiet, powerful moments when clients begin reclaiming control over their lives. Her approach blends CBT, ERP, and ACT within a person-centered framework rooted in empathy and individualized care. Outside of work, Brandi enjoys finding balance and peace through time spent with loved ones and simple everyday moments.

Britany Dennis, LCPC (she/her)

Britany Dennis is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over seven years of experience, including six years as a school-based therapist. She works with children, teens, and adults, supporting individuals navigating anxiety and providing affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients.

Britany uses a client-centered approach and draws from evidence-based practices such as CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, Reality Therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. She is passionate about helping clients grow and achieve their therapeutic and wellness goals, and finds the most joy in witnessing their progress along the way.

She was drawn to Maryland Wellness for its alignment with her passion for working with children and supporting diverse communities. Outside of work, Britany enjoys making jewelry and traveling.

Caitlyn Mackall, LMSW (she/her)

Mental Health Therapist

Caitlyn Mackall joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 and brings a steady, compassionate presence to her work with adults navigating incarceration trauma, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, and borderline personality disorder. With experience supporting individuals in jails and prisons, she helps clients rediscover their strength, self-worth, and capacity for growth. Guided by a deep commitment to social justice, Caitlyn believes that people are far more than the mistakes they’ve made. She integrates CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and IFS approaches to create a safe, collaborative space where healing and self-understanding can take root. Known for her empathy and insight, she helps clients build resilience and embrace their inherent worth. Outside of her work, Caitlyn enjoys traveling and exploring new places that inspire reflection and connection.

Carolyn Fordyce (she/her)

Carolyn Fordyce brings nearly a decade of social work and clinical experience to her role as a therapist at Maryland Wellness. She has worked extensively with adults, mothers and children, veterans in crisis, and families navigating medical and life challenges. Carolyn helps clients manage day-to-day stresses, build stability, and strengthen connections across the lifespan, supporting both younger and older adults through transitions and life changes.Her approach is grounded in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered. Carolyn is passionate about direct practice and providing quality services to underserved populations. She specializes in family support, crisis management, and guiding clients in connecting past experiences to present growth, helping individuals rebuild routines and achieve personal goals.

Chappelle Marshall, LGSW (he/him)

Chappelle Marshall joined Maryland Wellness in May 2025 and brings a warm, encouraging presence to his work with teens and adults navigating grief, loss, anxiety, and trauma. With a background in trauma-informed care, Chappelle helps clients build resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful healing and growth. He believes that everyone deserves to be met with empathy, respect, and dignity, and views his clients as the experts of their own lives. Chappelle is known for his compassionate, down-to-earth approach and his ability to create a safe, empowering space where change feels possible. Drawing from CBT, DBT, and ACT, he helps clients find practical solutions and renewed hope through a collaborative, strength-based process. Outside of work, Chappelle brings a touch of humor and connection to his sessions—often inviting clients to enjoy their favorite snack or beverage together as a way to ease in and feel at home. 

Charlie Billingsley, LCPC

Charlie specializes in substance use and addictions, with ten years of experience. Charlie strongly believes in the remarkable resilience and uniqueness of individuals. In his view, people tend to thrive when they receive love and respect. In a therapeutic setting, this translates into communication that is compassionate and relationship-focused.

David Rankin, LCPC (he/him)

Mental Health Therapist

David Rankin, LCPC, joined Maryland Wellness in 2023 and has been supporting individuals and families through therapy since 2016. He works with clients ages eight and up, including adults, couples, and older adults, as well as neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals. David also has a special interest in helping men who are new to therapy and those navigating life changes, depression, or bipolar disorder. Grounded in empathy and collaboration, David believes therapy works best when it’s guided by each client’s goals and values. He helps people explore new ways of thinking and relating so they can feel better, strengthen relationships, and move toward the lives they want to live. Known for his calm presence and curiosity, David values the opportunity to see resilience and hope emerge in every session. Outside of work, David enjoys hiking, kayaking, making music, reading mystery novels, and spending time with his cats.

Debra Dotson, DSW, LISW-CP (SC), LCSW-C (MD) (she/her)

Mental Health Therapist

Dr. Debra Dotson is an Assistant Professor for the Bachelor of Social Work, GuidedPath program at Capella University and a part-time therapist at Maryland Wellness. Debra received her Doctor of Social Work degree from the Kent School of Social Work and Family Science at the University of Louisville in 2024, and her research focuses on Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS). Debra is a certified clinical social worker in Maryland, South Carolina, and Minnesota, as well as a MD Board of Social Work approved supervisor. Debra’s experiences over the past 22 years have spanned higher education, private practice, non-profit, and social service systems. Debra has facilitated over 25 Continuing Education Workshops for mental health professionals, and she brings a rich and balanced perspective to both her teaching and therapy practices.

DeLandria Ankrah, LCPC (she/her)

Mental Health Therapist

DeLandria joined Maryland Wellness in November 2024 and brings eight years of experience and a deeply compassionate presence to her work with young adults and adults navigating trauma, depression, and anxiety. With a background in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), she helps clients heal, rediscover their strengths, and build meaningful lives grounded in self-awareness and growth. She believes in authenticity, empowerment, and cultural sensitivity, viewing therapy as a partnership where clients feel seen and supported as they confront life’s challenges. Known for her warmth and insight, DeLandria creates safe, inclusive spaces where individuals can explore their identities and move toward healing at their own pace. Her approach integrates evidence-based care with a strong commitment to helping people reconnect with their sense of self. Outside of work, DeLandria enjoys singing and dancing—and has even performed on two nationwide music tours.

Eli Shulman, LCSW-C (he/him)

Eli Shulman joined Maryland Wellness in 2024, bringing a compassionate and steady presence to his work as a therapist. A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, Eliezer gained meaningful experience supporting veterans at the VA hospital and assisting individuals facing housing insecurity through eviction prevention programs. These experiences deepened his commitment to helping people navigate challenges with dignity and resilience. Eli is dedicated to providing care that is both flexible and empathetic, meeting each client where they are. He values Maryland Wellness’s supportive environment and its mission to make quality mental health care accessible to all. Clients appreciate his thoughtful approach and his ability to create a safe, encouraging space for growth and healing. Outside of work, Eli enjoys creating fine art and staying active through jogging.

Jasmine Anthony, LMSW (she/her)

Jasmine Anthony joined Maryland Wellness in 2025 and brings a warm, affirming presence to her work with teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. She also provides an inclusive space for LGBTQAI+ clients to explore their experiences and strengthen self-understanding. Jasmine believes that therapy is a relationship built on trust and connection. Guided by this value, she helps clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace. Her approach blends trauma-informed care with Strengths-Based Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness, always centered on each person’s unique story and goals. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys watching horror movies, exploring fashion, and spending time with her three cats. Her favorite color is pink—and though she can’t ride a bike, she fully embraces life’s balance in her own way.

Kaitlyn Kimball, LCSW-C (she/her)

Kaitlyn Kimball brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to her role as a Therapist at Maryland Wellness, where she supports children, teens, adults, and older adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and mood disorders. With experience in community mental health and intensive outpatient programming, she tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Kaitlyn believes that clients are the experts in their own lives, and she values collaboration and open communication throughout the therapeutic process. She draws from an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches—including CBT, DBT, exposure therapy, and person-centered care—to help individuals heal, grow, and rediscover balance. Known for her empathy and openness, Kaitlyn creates a safe, supportive environment where progress can take root. Kandyce Tolbert, LCPC (she/her)

With a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), she helps clients develop practical coping skills and foster positive change in their daily lives. Kandyce believes in making a meaningful impact by helping people find hope and balance in an ever-changing world. She’s known for her compassionate, client-centered approach and her ability to celebrate each person’s progress, no matter how small. Her work integrates strength-based and positive psychology techniques to create individualized care that empowers clients to grow with confidence. Kathleen Young, M.A., LCMFT (she/her)

Kathleen joined Maryland Wellness in January 2021 and brings a calm, insightful presence to her work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. With extensive experience in Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approaches, she helps clients deepen self-awareness, heal inner wounds, and strengthen relationships with themselves and others. She believes that every individual has the capacity to achieve emotional wellness through understanding, openness, and connection. Known for her empathy and dedication, Kathleen guides clients through the healing process with compassion and curiosity, creating a safe space where growth and transformation can occur. Her work blends evidence-based modalities with a commitment to individualized, client-centered care that supports lasting change. Kehinde Paul, LMSW (he/him)

Kehinde Paul, LMSW, joined Maryland Wellness in 2021 and brings more than 20 years of experience to his work with children, teens, adults, seniors, and families. He specializes in supporting individuals living with chronic mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. Kehinde is known for meeting people where they are and helping them find comfort, understanding, and a renewed sense of hope. Guided by empathy and active listening, Kehinde uses approaches like CBT, motivational interviewing, and conflict resolution to help clients build insight and resilience. He believes social work is a calling—one that allows him to make a meaningful difference by offering care and understanding to those who need it most. Outside of work, Kehinde enjoys fish keeping, staying active through walks and charity 5Ks, and finding purpose in causes that give back to his community.

Kimberly Fogle, LCSW-C (she/her)

Kim is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore and has a strong background in medical social work, including palliative care and hospice.

Kim has worked extensively with clients navigating serious medical illness, caregiver fatigue, loss, and grief. She integrates a variety of therapeutic techniques to help individuals process emotions, build resilience, and achieve a greater sense of peace and well-being.

Kim provides compassionate care at our Berlin, Maryland location.

Lindsay Ray, LMSW (she/her)

Lindsay Ray, LMSW, is a Mental Health Therapist at Maryland Wellness who brings a warm and encouraging presence to her work with children, teens, and young adults. Recently graduating with her LMSW from Salisbury University, Lindsay has two years of experience in the mental health field and is committed to helping clients develop coping skills, build confidence, and navigate life’s challenges. Lindsay believes in empowering clients by recognizing their strengths and fostering a collaborative, trust-based therapeutic environment. She is known for her ability to help individuals see qualities they may not have realized they possess. Using a strengths-based perspective combined with evidence-based techniques, Lindsay supports personal growth while creating a safe and supportive space for exploration and healing. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her German Shepherd pup and watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees.

Loletta Dickerson, LGPC, NCC (she/her)

Loletta joined Maryland Wellness in January 2025 and brings a compassionate, strengths-focused approach to her work with children, teens, college-aged students, adults, couples, and families, including mother-daughter and estranged parental relationships. With training in attachment, clinical trauma, and suicide prevention, she helps clients navigate complex relational dynamics, develop coping skills, and build resilience. She believes that meaningful change begins when challenges are faced and values supporting underrepresented individuals on their journeys of self-awareness and growth. Known for her warmth, patience, and dedication, Loletta celebrates clients’ small wins and helps them recognize the effort they invest in reaching their goals. Her approach combines systems-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based strategies with a commitment to helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Outside of work, Loletta enjoys spending time with her family, binge-watching shows, getting lost in a good book, and practicing self-care.

Marie Weddle, M.A., LMSW (she/her)

Marie Weddle, M.A., LMSW, is a Mental Health Therapist at Maryland Wellness who brings a compassionate and empowering presence to her work with adults, adolescents, and older adults. With a strong foundation in crisis counseling, community outreach, and case management, Marie helps clients navigate life transitions, process trauma, and move toward self-forgiveness and personal growth. Marie believes that healing begins with compassion and self-understanding. Guided by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused interventions, she also integrates aspects of DBT, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy to help clients identify the patterns and stories that shape their experiences. Known for her gentleness, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s truth, she creates a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their challenges and strengthen their sense of self. Outside of work, Marie enjoys music, gardening, and cooking. A trained musician and instructor, she loves sharing creativity with children and families and brings that same sense of curiosity and joy into her therapeutic work.

Mark Akire, LCPC (he/him)

Mark Alkire joined Maryland Wellness in December of 2020 and brings more than 40 years of experience in the behavioral health field to his work with adults, children and families.    He has experience in working with patients who are depressed and have anxiety issues., Other areas of experience are:  school issues, parenting issues, trauma, domestic issues, sexual offenders and ADHD in children and adults.  He has worked in a variety of settings; schools, community-based programs, psychiatric unit, state hospital, and private practice.  His approach is eclectic, drawing from client centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Behavior Modification, and solution focused treatment. In addition, he is certified as Supervisor.  Mark is a strong patient advocate as he tries to link patients to supportive services and improve the patients’ quality of life.   In his spare time, Mark enjoys reading, gardening, landscaping and greeting guests at the family’s Airbnbs.   

Marty Price, LCPC (he/him)

Marty provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, blending CBT, DBT, and ACT to help clients navigate life’s challenges, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. With 14 years of experience, he is inspired by human connection and the quiet, steady progress clients make, knowing that even small moments of clarity can have a lasting impact. He was drawn to Maryland Wellness because of its mission, genuine teamwork, and commitment to serving communities across the state. Outside of work, Marty enjoys staying active, following sports—especially college football and basketball—and spending time with his two daughters and seven grandchildren.

Mary Martin, LMSW (she/her)

Mary Martin joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 and brings over a decade of experience in the mental and behavioral health field to her work with teens and adults. She supports individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, mood changes, and life transitions. Fluent in Spanish and deeply attuned to cultural and developmental factors, Mary’s work is informed by her background in early childhood mental health, parenting support, and developmental trauma. Mary believes that healing begins with being seen and understood. Grounded in warmth and collaboration, her approach integrates trauma-informed, CBT, DBT-informed, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients make sense of their experiences and build meaningful tools for change. She’s known for her calm presence, reflective insight, and ability to honor each client’s unique journey toward resilience and growth. Outside of work, Mary loves to dance and spend quality time with her twin boys.

Melanie Johnson, LCPC, NCC (she/her)

Melanie Johnson joined Maryland Wellness in 2025 and brings a warm, collaborative approach to her work with teens, adults, and older adults. She supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma, helping them build insight and coping skills for life’s challenges. With an eclectic background drawing from CBT, solution-focused, person-centered, and DBT techniques, Melanie meets each client where they are and helps them chart their own path forward. She believes therapy is a shared journey—one where the client is the pilot and she serves as a supportive co-pilot along the way. Melanie is known for her compassionate, nonjudgmental presence and her dedication to creating a safe, inclusive space where people can explore, heal, and grow. Millie Watkins (she/her)

Millie is a therapist at Maryland Wellness, working with adults and adolescents, especially clients who are LGBT and neurodivergent. She uses a humanistic, client-centered approach with CBT, DBT, and solution-focused methods. A newly licensed clinician, Millie is inspired by human connection and the hope she sees in clients’ growth. She enjoys celebrating even small steps forward and learning from each person’s unique perspective. Outside of work, she enjoys arts & crafts, baking, games, and spending time with her cats.

Natalie St Martin, LMSW (she/her)

Natalie joined Maryland Wellness in 2024, bringing her experience and passion for supporting adults and older adults facing anxiety, trauma, depression, substance abuse, and other challenges. With a background as both a Life Coach and LMSW, she is committed to helping clients build healthier lives through compassionate care and guidance. Guided by her personal experiences and a deep commitment to culturally responsive care, Natalie uses a blend of CBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients envision and work toward a brighter future. Paida Nyajena, LGPC, joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 and brings a calm, supportive presence to her work with adults and older adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and serious mental illness. Drawing from her background in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), she helps clients strengthen coping skills, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. Paida believes that mental health is the foundation of how we understand ourselves and connect with others. She sees therapy as a partnership—where clients take the lead in their own growth and she offers guidance along the way. Known for her empathy and genuine care, Paida is dedicated to helping each person feel seen, supported, and capable of healing. Outside of work, Paida enjoys traveling the world and speaks five languages, reflecting her love of culture and connection

Sarah Kennedy joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 and brings more than a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and adults in their healing journeys. She works with individuals and families navigating trauma, anxiety, and the impact of incarceration, helping them build resilience and rediscover hope. Sarah offers a calm, grounded presence that fosters trust and safety for meaningful growth. She believes therapy provides an opportunity to heal and evolve, and she takes a flexible, client-centered approach to ensure care fits each person’s unique needs. Drawing from ACT, CBT, attachment-based therapy, and systems perspectives, Sarah partners with clients to strengthen connections, develop coping skills, and move toward lasting change. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time in Baltimore with her husband and son. She loves gathering with her large extended family and friends whenever she can.

Sharon Meadors, LCPC (she/her)

Sharon Meadors, LCPC, brings decades of experience in the behavioral health field, having begun her work in 1989. Her professional background includes extensive experience in substance use and dependence, Applied Behavior Analysis, and several years serving as both a pediatric and adult hospice social worker in Virginia.

Sharon works with individuals across the lifespan and has always been passionate about supporting people at every stage of life. She is dedicated to helping clients discover their path toward greater joy, healing, and self-empowerment.

Dr. Simone Walton, DSW, LMSW

Mental Health Therapist

Dr. Simone Walton joined Maryland Wellness in 2021 and brings more than 15 years of experience to her work with adults, children, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She has a special focus on helping those impacted by violence, generational trauma, and cultural wounds find healing and renewal through compassion and connection. Guided by empathy, authenticity, and respect, Dr. Walton creates a safe space where clients feel truly seen and heard. Her integrative approach blends ACT, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques to help people rediscover balance, resilience, and self-trust. She believes that therapy is not about fixing people but about understanding and empowering them to move toward wholeness and hope. Outside of work, Dr. Walton finds joy in singing with her church’s praise team, swimming, mentoring youth, and traveling—having lived and worked on six continents.

Sondra Wine (she/her)

Sondra W. has been working as a PRP Counselor since 2018 and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She is passionate about building authentic therapeutic relationships where clients feel safe, supported, and truly heard.

Sondra enjoys advocating for her clients, helping them connect with valuable community resources, and providing support during times of crisis. She believes that Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services can play an important role in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while fostering personal growth and resilience.

Sonia’s lifelong commitment to helping others is rooted in her experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and caring for older adults. She finds deep purpose in empowering clients to overcome self-doubt, manage anxiety, and take confident steps toward the lives they want to lead. Sonia is known for her warmth, encouragement, and genuine joy in witnessing her clients’ progress. Outside of work, she loves unwinding with laughter—especially at a good funny cat video.

Tatiana Rummel, LGPC (she/her)

She helps clients explore their emotions, strengthen self-awareness, and build meaningful connections as they move toward greater balance and fulfillment. Tatiana believes everyone has the capacity for healing and growth when met with compassion and understanding. Guided by a person-centered approach, she strives to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported. She’s known for her warmth, empathy, and ability to help clients find strength and resilience within their own stories.Outside of work, Tatiana enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and baking—finding joy in simple, mindful moments that bring comfort and creativity to her day.

Toni Rodgers, LMSW (she/her)

Toni Rodgers joined Maryland Wellness in 2024 and brings over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. She works primarily with adults, helping clients manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional concerns while fostering personal growth and resilience. Toni’s extensive background includes roles in child and family services, school-based therapy, and community mental health, where she has guided people of all ages toward healing and stability. Toni believes social work is her life’s purpose—a calling rooted in empathy, compassion, and respect for every individual’s story. Known for her warmth and encouragement, she creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. Her approach blends CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to promote meaningful, lasting change. Outside of work, Toni enjoys cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her husband, two children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Valari Carreno, LCPC (she/her)

Valari joined Maryland Wellness in April 2009 and brings more than 20 years of experience to her work with adults and older adults. She supports clients facing anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, and other daily stressors, helping them build insight and resilience to live more fulfilling lives. She believes in the power of progress—no matter how small—and finds joy in watching clients move closer to their goals. Known for her encouraging, compassionate nature, Valari helps others make the positive changes they need to lead the lives they want. Her approach combines person-centered care with evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques, grounded in empathy and respect for each person’s journey. Outside of work, Valari enjoys traveling and going on adventures with her family.

Wayne Realini, LCPC (he/him)

Robert “Wayne” Realini has been working in the mental health and substance abuse field since July 2002. He started in Naples, FL at The David Lawrence Center as a Behavior Health Tech. From 2011-2012, Wayne served in a monastery in Conyers, GA. In 2012 he came back to the Eastern Shore where he has worked for the ACT Team at the Lower Shore Clinic, as an advocate at Go Getters, and at Eastern Shore Mobile Crisis. Wayne graduated with a Master’s Degree in counseling from UMES in 2018 and obtained his LCPC license in October 2021. Wayne is EMDR Certified through the EMDR Institute. Wayne uses a wide range of techniques including CBT, client centered therapy, mindfulness, DBT, spiritual counseling techniques, and incorporates folklore and mythology into sessions. Wayne has a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction certification from UMass, Clinical Trauma Professional certification from ITTI, and a certification from The Power of Awareness with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Wayne sees clients in the Berlin and Salisbury locations.
