Maryland Wellness Celebrates Grand Opening of Havre de Grace Office

Monday, August 3, 2026

Community partners, staff, local leaders, and representatives from the Harford County Chamber of Commerce gathered on Thursday, July 30, to celebrate the grand opening of Maryland Wellness’ new Havre de Grace office. The event included an official ribbon cutting with the Harford County Chamber of Commerce and marked an exciting milestone as Maryland Wellness continues to expand access to compassionate, person-centered care across Maryland.

Guests toured the new office, met members of the Maryland Wellness team, and learned more about the organization’s outpatient behavioral health services, including therapy, psychiatry, and the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). The grand opening reflected Maryland Wellness’ commitment to expanding access to care while building strong partnerships throughout the communities it serves.

While the ribbon cutting marked the opening of a new office, it also celebrated something even more meaningful: the lives transformed through compassionate care, trusted relationships, and coordinated support.

Among those in attendance was a family whose journey reflects the impact of Maryland Wellness’ Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. A parent shared how their loved one once struggled with severe anxiety and depression, making it difficult to leave home or participate in everyday life. Through consistent encouragement and support from their Maryland Wellness PRP Specialist, they gradually rebuilt the confidence and independence needed to reach meaningful milestones.

Today, that individual drives independently, volunteers in the community, participates in social activities, and attended the Havre de Grace grand opening alongside family members, demonstrating the progress that is possible.

Their parent shared that having their Maryland Wellness PRP Specialist who is patient, dependable, and genuinely invested in their loved one’s success has made a meaningful difference.

Their story is a powerful reminder that behavioral healthcare is about more than treatment. It is about helping people rediscover confidence, strengthen relationships, and believe that every step forward has the potential to create lasting change.

Maryland Wellness is grateful to everyone who joined the grand opening and to the staff, community partners, and families whose trust and collaboration make this work possible. As Maryland Wellness continues to grow, each new location represents more than expanded services. It represents new opportunities for individuals and families to find support, build resilience, and know they do not have to face life’s challenges alone.

“When I first started, I was afraid to talk but once they started telling me about this program, I started to open up more. They taught me that I am important; it’s about me today. They have taught me to forget about the past and focus on my goals – my GED,  nursing, helping the homeless, volunteering, etc. This is the most amazing, awesome program in Baltimore, and that’s from my heart. The staff is wonderful, amazing, beautiful, unique and have hearts of gold.”

“When I came here, I was broken. But I got the help that I needed, and I got the services that were good for me. I will be starting a brand new job! I’m so glad this place was recommended to me, and I’m so glad I came.”

“I do nothing but give praise to this establishment. My first time there, I was very nervous, but that quickly changed once I was greeted by the amazing staff in the front office. I can never leave that place with a frown on my face. I would recommend this facility to anybody in need of mental and drug counseling. They are the best I have ever experienced, and that is no lie.”
