Maryland Wellness’ passionate team is made up of clinicians, counselors, advocates, specialists and other professionals who bring their varied set of lived and learned experiences to support our clients and their families, as well as our partners, each and every day. One of our core values is collaboration among our team and with our clients’ families, referring partners and their other physicians in order to create the best possible outcomes for our clients. Targeted Case Management (TCM)

Bethany Shifflett, LCPC (she/her)

Community Support Supervisor

Bethany Shifflett brings a steady, compassionate presence to her role as Community Support Supervisor at Maryland Wellness, where she oversees the daily operations and service quality of the Targeted Case Management and Care Coordination team. With more than four years of experience in the mental health field, she helps ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges. Guided by her own family’s experiences with mental health and addiction, Bethany is passionate about helping others find hope, healing, and stability. She believes that meaningful progress begins with connection and is known for her empathy, leadership, and dedication to supporting both clients and staff in their growth. Her trauma-informed, client-centered approach reflects a deep commitment to compassionate, individualized care. Outside of work, Bethany enjoys hiking local trails, cheering on her son at sporting events, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Alexis Reed (she/her)

Community Support Specialist

Alexis Reed is a Community Support Specialist at Maryland Wellness who brings a compassionate and steady presence to her work with adults and children managing mental health challenges. With nearly two years of experience providing case management and community support, Alexis helps clients access essential resources, stabilize their living situations, and improve their overall well-being. She has a strong track record of connecting families with in-home supports and helping individuals transition from homelessness into stable housing. Alexis believes that every person has the right to guide their own care and take control of their lives. She is known for her kindness, patience, and dedication to empowering clients to regain hope and independence. Her approach emphasizes supportive guidance, advocacy, and creating a safe space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys reading, watching movies with her significant other and friends, and crocheting.
